Asylum Day 5 recap

dog-jumping-rope-300x201

Today was one of the two rest days in the 30 day program.  I didn’t do an Asylum workout, but I did run 9.5 miles and did some tree trimming.  My run was very laid back with a lot of walking just to stretch out the legs.  Vertical Plyo on day 4 was a monster.  There were some crazy jumping exercises and Shaun introduced Active resting, where instead of a break you got to jump rope icon wink Asylum Day 5 recap I need to get a dog, that would be active rest jumping with the dog.

All in all, the first 5 days have been great.  I’ve dropped some pounds, and have sweat more in some of the workouts than I have in Insanity workouts.  Specially the Speed & Agility workout, which is my favorite so far, I might think differently after tomorrow when that workout comes around again.

I figured that I would put up a short video every 5th day (hopefully I get better at it, because this last one… wasn’t too good).

You’ve been warned…

I’ve been sticking to more of the quick food listing in the book. I am looking at adding more carbs in since I’m doing double workouts and getting a daily run in on most days along with an Asylum workout. I keep track of my nutrition and workouts with the MyFitnessPal application and website. You can view my logging at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/1miletogo

Until next time (and I’m gonna work on my video skills) Keep pushing, keep striving, and look for me in WOWY -
