To catch up I’m going to combine Days 2 & 3 of Asylum.
The second Day brought a late night and early morning airport pickup/delivery, so I missed out on my morning run. I did come back that evening (after a short nap) to tackle Asylum Strength. I really liked this workout too. It brought in dumbells and mixed in cardio for some great combinations that worked the muscles. That is what was missing some in Insanity, good old fashioned weight workouts. I’m looking forward to my P90X/Insanity hybrid after the Pikes Peak marathon. I think I’ll work Asylum Strength into the mix somewhere.
I’ll do a longer write up of the workout at a later time. Good thing for Results and Recovery formula, it really helped the muscles after this workout. I started off with 20 pound dumbells, but mid way switched to 15′s as I build up my strength.
For day 3, I moved my workout to the morning, so I can go and preview a portion of the bear chase race trail run course. Day 3 brought Back to Core. It started off with a good jumping jack series warmup and moved into a variety of different workouts. I feel that my back got a great workout, but need to push further to get a good core workout.
Well, that is a quick catch up. Look for a longer write up of Day 4 Vertical Plyo sometime tomorrow or Saturday. I need to increase my long runs, so I may switch the rest day around when needed to get in my long run days
I’m just glad I have my Results and Recovery formula for what is left to come in the next 27 days.

I’ve been reading along for a while now. I just wanted to drop you a comment to say keep up the good work.
